From a Facebook & Instagram Community to a Foundation Built for Community Impact.

Our story

The next chapter for a Jacksonville community

The Jacksonville Indoor & Outdoor Foundation was created as the Next Step in the growth of the Jacksonville Indoor & Outdoor Shooting Group, a Community that began on Facebook and Instagram with a simple Goal: bring Jacksonville-area Firearms Enthusiasts, Responsible Gun Owners, Instructors, Ranges, Vendors, and Outdoor Enthusiasts together.

As the Community continued to grow, so did the Vision.

What began as a Social-Media Community evolved into something bigger—an Opportunity to create Meaningful Programs, Educational Initiatives, Community Events, Outreach Efforts, Partnerships, and Opportunities to give back to the Jacksonville Community.

The Jacksonville Indoor & Outdoor Foundation represents that Next Chapter.

While the Jacksonville Indoor & Outdoor Shooting Group continues to serve as a Community-Driven Platform for Connection, Discussion, Events, and Shared Interests, the Foundation provides a broader Framework for Education, Community Development, Firearms Safety, Responsible Ownership, Outdoor Recreation, Charitable Initiatives, and Strategic Partnerships.

Our Goal is to take the Connections built through our Online Community and turn them into Real-World Opportunities and Positive Community Impact.

Our mission

The Jacksonville Indoor & Outdoor Foundation is dedicated to Strengthening our Community through Firearms Education and Safety, Responsible Firearms Ownership, Outdoor Recreation, Community Engagement, Educational Programs, Outreach, and Meaningful Partnerships.

We work to Connect Individuals and Families with Trusted Resources, Qualified Instructors, Local Organizations, Businesses, and Community Leaders while creating Opportunities that promote Safety, Education, Personal Development, Responsible Participation, and Community Involvement.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to build a Safe, Informed, Responsible, and Connected Jacksonville Community where Individuals and Families have access to Quality Education, Firearms Safety and Training, Outdoor Recreational Opportunities, Community Resources, and Meaningful Experiences.

We envision the Foundation becoming a Trusted Bridge between Jacksonville Residents and the Organizations, Businesses, Instructors, Ranges, Outdoor Resources, and Community Partners that serve them.

The Foundation builds upon the Community established through the Jacksonville Indoor & Outdoor Shooting Group and expands that Vision beyond Social Media.

Facebook and Instagram helped bring the Community together. The Foundation is the next step in turning that Community into Action.

We believe that when Responsible Individuals, Organizations, Businesses, Instructors, and Community Leaders work together, we can create Opportunities that have a Lasting Impact.
